Product Description An exploration of the current evolution of European identity in the light of: transnational migration within and into Europe; the persistence of ethnic/regional/religious differences within Europe; the challenge of coalescence between Eastern and Western Europe; and the ambiguous role of national frontiers in both defining and overcoming the salience of national differences. The book challenges the orthodox view that European integration is eroding national identity.
